You have actually modelled what is most often the best way to pastorally engage with trauma...which,apart from lots of listening, is story telling. You also may not have known (and I am sure it is a work of the Spirit) how significant it is right now to listen to aboriginal voices. In two weeks we have a national referendum on creating a constitutionally enshrined indigenous ‘Voice to Parliament’. If this fails it will be yet another trauma, so these 5 candles are good and timely light.
