Glad to hear you are making progress in recovery, Chris. Thanks for your reflections - a real gift to me as a preacher. I had never really noticed the slave before (or heard sermon on the slave). Could it be that the almost overlooked slave be a ‘figure’ of Christ in this story? The only one who knows the will of the Father? It often seems to be that people at the bottom of the heap are the ones with the most striking insights into God. Perhaps it’s because they have so little to lose.
