“The criticism is that we are not doing more to eliminate the thing they fear.” 🤯 So many moments I was shook. This was so good and “removes the smoke” to diagnose what is actually happening. I am going to listen again and I ordered the book to read along.
Oh my goodness, what a life giving podcast. Thank you for the wisdom of how we can discern stuff--does it lead back to love of God and neighbor? Darn it, my book stack is fat, but I ordered this book because I want to separate from being dogged by fear, fear of death etc. (I loved Beck's Slavery to Death book)
The daily office has taken us to Revelation yesterday and today the woe, Babylon has fallen passages have appeared. I have thought for awhile that America is Babylon. Babylon's fate is rather frightening, but looming I think. How do we live Christianly in these times?
What will the next podcast be about, so I can read ahead?
At any rate, I look forward to your podcasts because they are so very life giving for me. I'm so glad you both are so generously sharing your insight--biblical and otherwise. Bless you both.
Coupled with today’s conversation in Corinthians on SOT is another series of double takes in my head. I’ll say the word, convicted. The reverberations are giving me a much needed tuning. Ever grateful to you all.
I love all our conversations, but this one was so exciting! I was probably a little too "giggly" about how good Stringfellow is!
He’s under appreciated
Criminally
I’m going to have to dig out my Stringfellow from the bottom of the pile and start reading him again.
This is a conversation very close to my heart.
Thank you for introducing me to a new book! I have not yet read Stringfellow so this conversation was insightful and a joy to hear
