MLK on redemptive sufferings and the creative force that comes from the nearness of God in trouble
April 13, 1960, Martin Luther King Jr published an account of his “pilgrimage to nonviolence” in The Christian Century. At the request of the editor who’d read the initially-submitted draft, King wrote these four additional paragraphs, which arrived too late to be included. I find them to be somehow equally challenging and comforting.
